What is a ball screw?
A ball screw converts rotary motion into precise linear motion. Recirculating steel balls roll between the screw shaft and the ball nut, so friction is far lower than with a conventional lead (trapezoidal) screw. The result is higher efficiency, less heat, smooth movement and repeatable positioning, which is why ball screws drive the axes of CNC machine tools, automation equipment and many other linear systems.
CPN Wälzlager supplies high-accuracy ball screw series with flanged nuts, designed as drop-in replacements for common THK, NSK, IKO and HEPCO references. When a machine is down, you can replace a worn screw or nut with an interchangeable unit at a reasonable cost, without redesigning the mounting.
